JAKARTA (Aug. 2, 2018) – Datsun is putting on a dazzling show at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2018, displaying its completely refreshed lineup of cars for Indonesia.
The highlight of the show is the Datsun GO-live special version, which premiered at GIIAS 2018 after having wowed audiences as a concept car at GIIAS 2017. The Datsun GO-live demonstrates the brand’s continuing commitment to expand and enhance its product offerings for Indonesian consumers. It uses the Datsun GO top grade as a base and adds a host of attractive new features and design modifications to give it a distinct and bold new personality.
In line with Indonesia’s passion for personalization, the Datsun GO-live will be built in limited numbers to ensure that its owners stand out – while still being part of the larger Datsun community.
Datsun will also showcase the new Datsun GO and GO+ along with the brand’s flagship model – the Datsun CROSS, a compact crossover that’s setting new standards for the segment. The entire Datsun show lineup has been designed for the convenience of visitors, and all three models are available for test drives at the test drive area of the Indonesia Convention Exhibition venue.
Corporate Vice President Jose Roman, the global head of Datsun, introduced the new Datsun GO-live during a press conference at the motor show.
“This is just the beginning of our journey to move people to a better world,” Roman said. “We’re committed to developing personal transportation solutions to offer greater freedom and more choices to as many customers as possible. This idea is at the root of every car we design and every customer we serve, and the Datsun GO-live is the latest expression of this vision.”
The car is aimed at young professionals looking for the perfect vehicle for urban commuting. First deliveries of the Datsun GO-live are due to start in Indonesia from November 2018.
The car’s exterior is dominated by an aggressive aero kit, including a front spoiler, side moldings, a rear roof spoiler and a rear bumper diffuser, all painted in bright yellow. The Datsun GO-live will be available in four different body colors (black, white, silver and gray) with an all-black roof and bold yellow accents, giving it a striking, expressive and youthful look and a standout road presence.
The personalization continues inside the car, with yellow seat belts and yellow stitching on the seats. The instruments themselves feature unique backlit meter scales with yellow highlights.
The front wheels are powered by Datsun’s 1.2-liter engine, which produces 78 hp when coupled with the advanced Xtronic CVT – a continuously variable transmission that delivers greater fuel efficiency and better performance compared with a conventional automatic gearbox. A five-speed manual transmission is also available for those who prefer dynamic driving.
Customers may place pre-orders from August 2 at the pre-booking prices of IDR 135 million Rupiah for a version with manual transmission, and IDR 150.5 million Rupiah for one with CVT. Deliveries are planned to begin in November 2018.
The fully refreshed lineup of Datsun vehicles is being shown from August 2 to August 12 at a modern, well-designed and visitor-friendly pavilion inside Hall 9A of the Indonesia Convention Exhibition.
